Restricted Destination or Product Limitations
Your address may fall under a restricted destination, or one or more products in your cart might not be eligible for shipment to your location.
Solution: Check the restricted destinations list to verify whether your address or product is affected. If no restrictions apply to your address or product, proceed with the following troubleshooting steps.
Known Issues with Apple Pay and Shop Pay
If your destination is not restricted but the issue persists, it may be caused by a technical error linked to payment platforms such as Apple Pay or Shop Pay. Here are the common causes and their respective solutions:
1. Missing State/County/Province Field
During checkout, ensure the State/County/Province field is properly filled. If this field is missing or unselected, it may trigger the error.
Solution: Click the "Change" link next to your address during checkout and verify that the correct state, county, or province is selected. Save your changes and proceed with the checkout process.
2. Incorrect Country Recognition in Shop Pay
Occasionally, Shop Pay might incorrectly default to a different country. For instance, if your address is in the Isle of Man, Shop Pay may mistakenly default to the United Kingdom.
Solution: Re-enter your shipping address in Shop Pay and select Isle of Man as your country. Do not select the United Kingdom, as Shopify treats these as separate countries.
3. Incorrectly Formatted Phone Number in Shop Pay
An improperly formatted phone number in Shop Pay can also cause this issue.
Solution: Access your Shop Pay account and edit your phone number:
- Tap the ⋮ (menu icon) next to your address and select Edit.
- Update your phone number with the correct country code and extension.
- If the issue persists, try removing your phone number entirely and saving the changes.
